LECTURES

My lectures promote quilting as a time to sit down with friends and work with your hands.  This is an opportunity for me to share my new techniques as students put away their machines and slow stitch.  Available as In-Person and Zoom presentations.  You will be reminded of the rich history of quilting and the joy of handwork.

THE JOYS OF HANDWORK

This is an In-Person or virtual trunk show of my quilts all hand pieced, hand quilted, and hand embroidered.  I will remind you of the joy in slow stitching.  Put away your machines and be inspired by my quilts.

THE FAMOUS CENTURY OF PROGRESS QUILT SHOW

A Depression Era mystery that is a virtual lecture about the 1933 Worlds Fair quilting contest entered by over 24,000 quilters, although the winner didn't even make her own quilt.  A change of pace lecture for your guild that focuses on quilt history rather than design inspiration

CRAZY QUILTS THROUGH THE AGES

A showing of beautiful Crazy Quilts and how they evolved through the years.  The history behind this technique is surprising and not what you might think.  Plus some hints on how to date a Crazy Quilt.
