LECTURES

My lectures promote quilting as a time to sit down with friends and work with your hands.  This is an opportunity for me to share my new techniques as students put away their machines and slow stitch.  Available as In-Person and Zoom presentations.  You will be reminded of the rich history of quilting and the joy of handwork.

QUILTING SUPERSTARS OF THE PAST AND HOW THEY CHANGED QUILTING

This is an In-Person or virtual trunk show of my quilts all hand pieced, hand quilted, and hand embroidered.  I will remind you of the joy in slow stitching.  Put away your machines and be inspired by my quilts.

A Depression Era mystery that is a virtual lecture about the 1933 Worlds Fair quilting contest entered by over 24,000 quilters, although the winner didn't even make her own quilt.  How did that happen?

In the 1930's these amazing women used their talent and the pages of the Kansas City Star to push the art of quilting down a new road.  A virtual lecture on how they did it and where we are now.
